The Covid Catalogue, Gone Too Soon, Michael Lang
The Covid Catalogue celebrates Michael Lang, 18 of Illinois
School officials said that Michael Lang, a first-year student at the University of Dayton in Ohio, died after a lengthy illness caused by COVID-19. He died in LaGrange, Illinois, after staying in hospital; it was not clear how long he had been hospitalized or whether he contracted the virus on or off school.
Lang was staying on-campus before going back home to his hometown and starting online classes on September 14.
His father, Paul Michael, told the Today Show that his family felt devastated by Lang’s death. “Our kid is in a better place, and he’ll be looking down on us. But he is 18. He was way too young.” He said.
