The Covid Catalog Celebrates Lawrence Baker of Kansas
Lawrence Baker is survived by his wife Tammie, daughter Hollie and her husband Jason along with their kids Austin and Emma; his son Bo, and his wife Misti along with their kids Londynn, Haizley and Jackson; his cousins Melissa Carlson, and Tommy Schwabauer. Lawrence Dale Baker “Pop” was born in Wellington, Kansas on February 24, 1960, and passed away on April 24, 2021. He attended school in Belle Plaine, Kansas where he met the love of his life, Tammie Clewell, in high school, and they were married on September 20, 1980.
Lawrence worked in asphalt construction and was known as a “paving legend” around his domain. He was an avid fisherman and spent a considerable portion of time by Winfield Lake with family and friends either fishing or talking and telling the stories of his fishing. He loved traveling to the beaches of Mexico with his wife. He was also a basketball referee and enjoyed upholding the integrity of the game.
