The Covid Catalog, Gone Too Soon, Isabelle Papadimitriou
The Covid Catalog celebrates Isabelle Papadimitriou, 64, of Dallas
Isabelle Papadimitriou worked as a respiratory therapist in Texas for almost 30 years. She was a bank teller before she became a respiratory therapist about a decade ago. Her son, whom she was living with, tried to force her to retire early, but she insisted that her hospital needed her.
Isabelle was of Mexican descent, born in Brownsville, Texas, and moved to Dallas for work. She was among many essential workers who worked during the pandemic.
She died alone in a hospital bed on July 4, 2020, after battling coronavirus for one week. She was 64.
