The Covid Catalogue celebrates Maria Lydia Hernandez Lopez
The Covid Catalogue remembers Maria Lydia Hernandez Lopez, a mother of five from California. Maria Hernandez Lopez died of Covid-19 on January 20. Her family said that she died after an intense fight with the deadly virus. She was diagnosed with corona-virus in early January after celebrating her 47th birthday in November.
Maria made headlines more than two decades ago when she gave birth to twins before waking up from a comma. Her family said that she struggled with health issues, and she often made visits to the hospital.
One of her hospitalizations happened in 1999 when she had a brain hemorrhage while pregnant.
The family said on GoFundMe that she had been unconscious for 47 days. The doctors did not believe that she would recover, but her two daughters were delivered successfully before waking up.
