The Covid Catalog remembers Vic Lepisto, 75, of Agoura Hills.
Vic Lepisto died on December 28, 2020, from Covid-19 complications. He was 75. Vic died after a three-week battle with diabetes, dementia, and Covid-19.
He was born on June 29, 1945, and grew up in La Canada. Vic loved playing football and baseball, and he also ran track at John Muir High School in Pasadena. He joined UCLA in 1963 and competed for national championships.
Lepisto met his wife Sue Henderson at a Westwood dancing spot in 1970. Sue is a teacher, counselor, and principal at Los Angeles Unified School District. The couple raised a daughter and two sons. The marriage lasted 50 years.
Lepisto retired after 14 years as a Los Angeles County probation officer to go into teaching. He taught physical education and coached cross country and track at El Camino Real High School for another 14 years. He retired in 2010.
‘He was kind, selfless, loyal, determined, and loved his family,’ his son Garret said.
He is survived by his wife, Sue, three children, eight grandchildren, his sister Carol, brother Dave, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
