The Covid Catalog Celebrates, Remi C. “Charlie” BeauSejour, 75, of New York.

Remi C. BeauSejour “Charlie “, age 75, passed away at Richmond University Medical Center in Staten Island, N.Y. due to complications from Covid-19 on April 8, 2021. He was born in Buffalo, N.Y. as Keith William Rice, and was lovingly adopted by his late parents, Laura Hargreaves BeauSejour and Remi A. BeauSejour who raised him in Staten Island.

After high school, Charlie served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and the Cold War. He was discharged in 1968. After his service in the navy, he married briefly and had a son, Remi BeauSejour. In 1970, he married Carol Rabey, and together they had a daughter, Colette BeauSejour in 1976. They later divorced but remained great friends. In 1985, Charlie married his current wife Barbara. They would have celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary this month.

After his service, he worked as an NYC Sanitation worker.

Charlie is survived by his current wife Barbara, his children and stepchildren, and their spouses: Remi BeauSejour and his wife Dawn. Colette Jacobsen and her husband Darryl, Cindy Gaither and her husband Paul, Michelle Dirkes and her husband, Doc. He also leaves behind 7 grandchildren, Kierra, Derek, Evan, Logan, Vincent, Angelica, and Daniel. Lastly, Charlie is survived by his sister Renee along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Charlie was a long-time member of the Staten Island Sportsman’s Gun Club. He enjoyed trap-shooting and traveled to many places to shoot in tournaments.
