The Covid Catalog, Gone Too Soon, Lawrence and Patsy Adcock.
The Covid Catalog remembers Lawrence and Patsy Adcock, 86 and 83, of Indianapolis, Indiana.
Lawrence and patsy had been married for 65 years and died less than two weeks apart. Lawrence died on March 29, 2020, and Patsy died on April 8, 2020. Lawrence tested positive for coronavirus after he started experiencing symptoms on March 15. He passed on two weeks later, just ten days before his 87th birthday.
Mark Adcock, their son, told this mother about Lawrence’s death over the phone. Patsy started having symptoms of the virus the same day her husband died. According to Mark, she cried and said that they had always planned to be able to go together.
Patsy was a homemaker, while Lawrence was a retired chemical engineer. ‘They were good role models and great parents; they taught us to have faith and love God,” Mark said.
The couple grew in poverty in Mississippi. Lack of enough money pushed Lawrence to work hard, begin his career as a chemical engineer, and eventually retire as the top executive.
