The Covid Catalog celebrates Juan Martinez, 36, of Stockton.
Juan Martinez died at 36 on June 7, 2020, at Dameron Hospital in Stockton. The cause was Covid-19 complications. Martinez spent a week on life support and ventilator. He started having body aches and breathing difficulties on March 31. He had no underlying conditions. Everybody in the family tested positive for the virus; Juan could not survive it.
Martinez was born in Puebla, Mexico. He met his wife Maria Reyna Flores a dozen years ago while working at the Elephant Bar in Stockton. She was a single mother at the time and had depression. Martinez showed his love to her; he would take her and Erick on dates.
Martinez was a great father. He always encouraged Erick and his three younger daughters to work hard in school. Martinez loved cooking and going out with his family. He always had a dream of owning a restaurant with his wife.
Besides his wife, Martinez is survived by his son, daughters; Ericka, Alondra and Brianna and his father, Pedro.
