The Covid Catalog remembers, Debra Ivory from Oklahoma City OK, died on December 13, 2020 at her home. She was 62 years old. Her son, Stephen Ivory, said that she died from coronavirus complications.
Debra Ivory owned George’s Happy Hog Bar-B-Q in Oklahoma City. They bought the restaurant with her son, a former amateur boxer with a brief professional career. The restaurant grew in popularity, attracting many legislators and travelers. Ms. Ivory knew by heart what most of her regular customers wanted.
She graduated in 1976 from high school and took courses at a nearby Rose State College. Ms. Ivory was married and divorced twice. Her first marriage was with Wendell Huggins, and the second was with Anthony Ivory. She was in a relationship with James Dudley between the two marriages, and they had a son.
Her son described her as the smiling face that everybody loved, as she always made sure everyone was taken care of.
