The Covid Catalog, Gone Too Soon Dan Culhane
The Covid Catalog celebrates Dan Culhane, 62, of Minneapolis
Dan Culhane died on February 28 due to Covid-19 complications. Culhane voiced commercials at radio stations across the Twin Cities over three decades for stations like; KFAN, KOOL 108, JACK FM, and WCCO Radio.
Culhane extended his voice-over work to TV and introduced ‘Minnesota Bound,’ the popular outdoors show on KARE 11, for the past eight years. He also filled DJ shifts occasionally.
Culhane was born and raised in Superior, Wisconsin, and he loved radio from an early age, his wife Nancy Mitchell said. He got his degree in Business Administration at the University of Wisconsin-Superior, with a minor in broadcasting.
Culhane is survived by his wife, his son, Joe, his daughter, Cori Orak, of Indonesia, and two grandchildren.
‘We lost a good person, and I think many people are heartbroken because of it,’ said Donna Valentine, a longtime friend.
